Happy World Breastfeeding Week! International Lactation Consultant Association® (ILCA®) is excited to join World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) and other organizations and individuals the world over in celebrating #WBW2020. The theme of World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) 2020 is Support breastfeeding for a healthier planet! Lactation Matters will feature blog posts and resources throughout the week of 1-7 August to help you make the most of this important week.
Join us as we celebrate #WBW2020 – we have collaborated with WABA to create a series of resources which we will publish through the week. We will also be sharing information from La Leche League entities around the world and from our global partners. This year most entities are doing online events, so now it is possible to attend more events in different countries and different languages!
It’s the 7th annual Black Breastfeeding Week. This year, the theme is The World is Yours: Imagine. Innovate. Liberate! The voices of black families have been traditionally overlooked in innovation spaces and that’s why we need YOU to bring your fire, passion, and brilliant ideas to revolutionize Black breastfeeding in the United States.
This Inspiration Guide is a living document, providing an open-source, unbranded library of content for a community of organizations who use social media to promote, protect and support breastfeeding for World Breastfeeding Week (August 1 – 7), National Breastfeeding Month (August in the U.S.) and beyond.
