Supporting breastfeeding through counselling

#Breastfeeding counselling/support includes listening, empathising, building confidence, giving information and suggestions and letting women/parents decide what is best for them. How can we ensure women/parents get the breastfeeding counselling they need?

Sociocultural considerations in providing breastfeeding support

All women/parents have the right to be supported by society to breastfeed optimally. They can benefit from many different kinds of support depending on their sociocultural context. What are some sociocultural elements we need to consider in supporting #breastfeeding?

The importance of involving and training different actors
